It’s a unique concert at The Birley Centre in Eastbourne. Four composers, including former NMB member, now classic FM presenter and Bafta award winning composer Jessica Curry and Clive Whitburn and two other Eastbourne composers, Melody Woodham and Tim Laverack, have written pieces related to the situation of refugees/migrants.
The concert is a fundraiser for the charity Migrant Help.
The 16 strong choir is The New Network Singers (many of whom performed for the NMB folksong project) and the quartet is the fabulous Modulus String Quartet from London.
Tim Laverack’s piece will electronically treat the singers and quartet live – and possibly also use a theremin.
