February 12th: Music of Our Time (MOOT) presents a Discovery Concert on the works of American serial composer,  Milton Babbitt. A new work, entitled Breaking the Set, by NMB member Georgina Bowden will be performed by Ensemble Kantores, directed by Alex Roose.
Babbitt’s Soli e Duettini for two guitars (1989) will be played by NMB associate performers Jon Rattenbury and Brian Ashworth; Homily (1988) will be played by Adam Bushell (percussion); Steven Dummer will perform My Ends are My Beginnings (1978) for clarinet.
The concert also incudes Philomel and Music for the Mass.
